We are Eric and Eileen Payne . We have been running our ‘Folk at the Fold‘ Club at The Fold in Bransford, near Worcester for 15 years. We sing and perform folk music together as a duo and, also with our friend Jim Preston, as the a-cappella trio Shepherd’s Purse. We have produced a number of CD’s all of which are sold in aid of charity.
Also, for 14 years we have run a successful Theatre group, ‘Fold Theatre’, which performs folk plays at Clubs, Village Halls and Festivals.
Since 2016, we have raised money for a variety of Charities through the sale of Eric’s book ,our CD’s and, programme sales at our Fold Theatre Events. In total we have raised around £6338 to date. The charities we have supported include Farm Africa, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Samaritans , Midlands Air Ambulance , Crisis and UNHCR.
The profit from the sale of all CD’s and books goes to one of the above charities. In addition to this, we have performed shows for a range of charities to help with their fundraising.
Our Venue at the Fold www.thefold.org.uk is a not for profit Community enterprise. there is a cafe, function rooms a natural therapy centre and much more -Do visit if you are in the area!
