FOLD THEATRE (Now replaced by ‘Folk from the Fold’)
Eleven years ago we selected a group of twelve talented local performers to form our ‘Fold Theatre’ group. We have written and produced our own shows which have been seen by many thousands of people at Festivals, Village Halls, Folk Clubs and even Churches! Through the shows we have raised a significant amount of money for our various charities.
Overall we have produced five shows – The Ancient Legacy, The Merry Tiller, The Baker’s Dozen, Beside the Seaside and ‘Appen it’ll Brighten Up yet! All of which have proved very popular with many repeat bookings.
At every venue we have set up a complete Mobile Theatre consisting of lights, sound equipment and our own backdrop. This has become increasingly tiring so we have decided to ‘be sensible’ and reduce the amount of equipment we have to carry around when we do bookings!
Our loyal cast, most of whom have been with us right from the start, are keen to continue, and so we are re-inventing ourselves as ‘Folk From The Fold’ So if you want an evening of ‘folk style’ entertainment for your venue have a look at the ‘Folk From the Fold’ page – it could be the perfect evening for your organisation!
